All About Peachtree City, Georgia

Peachtree City is located in Fayette County in the state of Georgia. Peachtree City was chartered in 1959 and then four different villages were developed within the city. These include Kedron, Glenloch, Abderdeen, and Braelinn. An interesting fact about the development of the different villages within Peachtree City is that each village has its own recreation, elementary schools, and shopping areas. Despite the four villages, it is easy to know when you are in the middle of Peachtree City. Georgia State Route 74 and Georgia State Route 54 mark the middle of town.

A fun fact about Peachtree City, Georgia, is that most of the city is made up of paths for golf carts. Almost any destination may be reached by the golf cart paths. Because of this the majority of people in Peachtree City have a golf cart. This is a wonderful extra mode of transportation and even children as young as 12 can drive the golf cart with an adult present. Fifteen year old kids with a learner’s permit are allowed to drive golf carts on the paths. Many students are even encouraged to drive their golf carts to school! The golf cart paths are also used by runners, walkers, and even bikers. This is safer than using the state roads.

Also, Peachtree City real estate is only 35-45 minutes from downtown Atlanta, which makes commuting easy. Traffic is much lighter and living is much more laid back. The population continues to increase in Peachtree City, Georgia due to all its outstanding qualities.
